The past few weeks have been pretty great. I made it through Yuletide signups, saw a Dracula ballet live (the dancer for Dracula thoroughly understood his assignment as did the costume designer who assumed his chest was the most visible thing about him when he wasn't wearing a cape), read some books, watched some cinema, got my gooseberries settled, and made a number of very cute and/or dumb costumes. The real highlight though was my personal celebration of my favorite nefarious goatboy's birthday (I love celebrating fictional character's birthdays as an excuse to party without having the actual expectations/obligations of real holiday). I used it as an occasion to explore new and fun frontiers of veganism and to terrify my friends and loved ones with a festive goat-themed dish. :]

I used my boardgame here.

I finished 6/6 from my last PTW challenge and it went mostly great. I didn't get enough Dr. Stone so it might be my reward.

Roll #1:

A 9, prompt: longest titled. There was a tie between two, I picked Fairy Ranmaru: Anata no Kokoro Otasuke Shimasu.

Roll #2:

A 2, prompt: martial arts. I really don't have a lot of martial arts anime on any list but I went with Ninja to Gokudou since I've heard good things about it! From what I hear it's enemies accidentally bonding over something together without realizing it, and there's more underneath what they bonded over as well.

Roll #3:

A 4, prompt: European element. The only one on my CW list is Delico's Nursery, I don't know where it takes place but the ambience is there.

Roll #4:

A 7, prompt: witch/etc. Slayers ig though not sure how I feel about the new chars yet.

Roll #5

A 9 and using skill to go one extra tile. Prompt: contemporary. I think Babanba Banban Vampire counts even though there's a supernatural element since it takes place in modern times.

Roll #6:

A 7 and right to the end. Reward: Dr. Stone!

Episode 3: New character Ruri, a serial killer and a famous idol. When Shizuo punched her dressed up as a zombie, she landed near Kasuka, who took her in and had Shinra look at her. He didn't call the cops even knowing she's a killer.

Simon knows that assassin Egor? Shingen hired him to kidnap Ruri to experiment on her.

So Ruri only kills certain people. And she has some kind of power.

Lol the one sister kissing the other who was panicking about Kasuka being taken.

Ruri found out there were a lot more 'monsters' than she thought.

Episode 4: "I don't want to not be able to live with Shinra!" Aw, Celty.

So the armor was something from Ruri and Egor was possessed by Saika?

Lol at Kadota picking up a flailing Mikado and throwing him in the van.

I said 'oh shit' aloud when that thug made Shizuo drop the coffee. Tom crossing himself!!

Seems like Kasuka/Ruri is official or close enough.

Wow, lots of the characters gathered for hotpot! Lol imagine the chaos if the Orihara sibs were there.

Aoba's going to try and take on Izaya of all people? His 'former name' was Izumii?

These two episodes were kind of confusing the way they went back and forth in time.

also, shoutout and/or critical support to this madman who listened to all the scarlatti sonatas & ranked them. i don't 100% agree with all his takes (at least, on the much smaller subset of the sonatas that i listened to lol), but i DID find some p sweet sonatas i would've otherwise overlooked and the article's vibes are good!

Used my manga TBR boardgame.

I finished 6/6 on my last board, It was kinda meh because there was only one manga that I really liked. I've been reading a lot more manga than usual because I feel too shitty for other things like watching things. 😩

A 4, prompt: color in the title. Alright, I've put the Ao no Exorcist anime on hold so it's finally time to go back and continue the manga.

Roll #3:

A 3 and the trap tile. I rolled Even so I get to move 2 extra tiles. Prompt: cover features mostly blue. Let's do Ookiku Furikabutte, it's been aaages.

An 11, prompt: mystery element. More D.Gray-Man.

Roll #5:

A 7, which is the 'randomize from CR' tile. A 25... Well. that's D.Gray-Man again. I guess I retry? 202, which is Yuu Yuu Hakusho! I have no idea what happened last but I'm sure it'll be fiiine. 😅

Roll #6:

An 8 and the end. This time I'll be rereading the BL Constellations In My Palm. It's a chunky one but I rated it 10, hope it holds up!

Reread the BL Happy Yarou Wedding ♡, 6->6.5 stars

Finished the BL Renai Renrei and rated it 9/10!

Read the geikomi oneshot Akuma no Kare, rated it 2/5. There was no emotional component, just porn.

Read the oneshot A Story About a Boy Scouted to Be a Model. Too short to feel satisfied. Good art though. 1.5/5

I reread the BL Alcohol, Shirt & Kiss and rated it 6/10.
